A Work in Progress...

Today, Philip and I have been working on polishing up some of what he wrote yesterday about his van and his wheelchair ramp. (We focused on his van and let the writing about the other van go for now.) I thought it would be interesting to see how he has edited and improved his writing.

This is what he wrote yesterday:

Van forward in in out out beside wheelchair ramp up down. Battery

This is today's version:

Philip Van: remote forward in in out out front open close door. wheelchair ramp loud hard easy expensive. Same remote wheelchair ramp up down on side. Remote work Battery.

An exercise in comparing and contrasting

video

Philip sometimes likes to watch You-Tube videos of different kinds of wheelchair ramps. Today while we were taking a break from reading 'Treasure Island' we were watching some videos and got the idea to take a video of his own wheelchair ramp in his van. We decided to compare and contrast his van with another van. This is his video. The post below is the second video we found online. The first paragraph he wrote below is about his van; the second paragraph is about the one we found online. (You will hear me in his video talking to "rampy" ( my pet name for the ramp) because it got stuck partway up.)

Van forward in in out out beside wheelchair ramp up down. Battery

Out near backward. Weird, pointy, back, junk, deaf, gross, loud, hard, expensive, expensive, different.
